Low Rider or Broken Rider? Squatted Lada is Unfit for Dagestan Village

Hey, there's nothing wrong with lowering the stance of your car even if you decide to follow Japanese extremes, as this is purely a subjective matter of personal preferences and taste, but if you're going to go that way, you just might want to take into consideration the condition of the roads you'll be rolling around on.

The owner of this low-riding Lada from a village somewhere in Dagestan, which is a federal subject (a republic) of Russia, found that out the rathe, hard way…

To the amusement of the lad holding the camera, he had to remove the front bumper and lay some wooden planks on the ground to get the vehicle moving up the dirt road.

Watch how it played out for yourself in the following video.

Halfwit Attempts to Stop Rolling Infiniti by…Stomping the Gas Pedal

As if exiting a car while it's still rolling without securing it in some way, be that by turning off the engine and placing it out of drive/gear while using the handbrake as well, isn't a daft move in itself, trying to stop it by pressing the gas pedal takes you to a whole new league of foolhardiness, now, doesn't it…

Possibly filmed in Russia, though, we can’t be entirely sure as there is no description on YouTube, the man behind the wheel obviously mixed the pedals when he jumped into the Infiniti FX to attempt to bring it to a halt before it hit the adjacent parked vehicle.

The result can be seen in the following dash-cam video.

Cars on Rails: Fun Times at Unfinished Moscow Tram Road

Occasionally, if you have to cross a certain road to continue going your way, you just do it regardless of the condition it is in, something that these Moscow drivers know all too well.

Evidently, this part of the road that goes under an overpass and which is used by trams as well, remains unfinished, but authorities left it open.

Without thinking about it much, local motorists of all sorts of automobiles and trucks carefully place their wheels on the rails and hope they steer their way through without busting any parts of their rides.

A video compilation from an overhead security camera follows below the break.

Russian Driving Mayhem: The Grandmother Edition

Here's a video compilation of incidents starring elderly female pedestrians from Russia, with all of them purportedly having taken place during 2013.

Russian roads aren't easy…or forgiving for pedestrians in general, and it’s even more challenging for people in their third age.

However, we will admit that, it’s not always the drivers' fault, as some recorded incidents show, like when a grandmother tried to cross a busy highway at night dressed in black (not that it matters what she was wearing given the circumstances…).

The video awaits you after the virtual break.

Unbelievable Russian Car Chase Will Leave You Rolling On the Ground Laughing

In all seriousness now, you just can't make all this stuff up! And while the opening snap-shot from the video showing a weapon-wielding man slipping on the roof of a minivan that had just been driven off the road suggests a deadly confrontation, we can assure you that it's more comedy than tragedy…

Filmed in the eastern part of Russia from the dashboard camera of a following vehicle that was not involved in the incident, it begins with a Toyota Camry chasing what looks like a Mazda MPV.

The Camry driver pulls up several times in front of the minivan, and jumps out of his car to attack the Mazda motorist with what you may initially perceive as a gun, but turns out it was a knife of some sort.

What happens towards the end of the footage is simply put; rib-tickling. See for yourself below.

Shout out to Falco for the submission!

This is What Happens When You Over Inflate a Huge Truck Tire

If you're filling up a tire with air, common sense says you should always keep at least one eye on the pressure gauge. Overdo it, and you could end up being blasted in the face and thrown up into the air like a rag doll.

This applies to all types of tires, but understandably, the bigger the wheel, the stronger the explosion if you go over the limit.

The guy in this video, possibly filmed at a Russian garage, had one foot on the truck tire when it burst out like a bomb shooting the man several feet in the air. The poster of the security camera footage says the man sustained a couple of bruises and torn ligaments in his knee.

The funny thing (well, not really, but you get what we mean) is that, if you watch the video, one of the other men in the garage approached him and pointed towards the tire, likely warning him about the pressure. Guess he had to find out the blasting way…

Thanks to Jalopnik for the heads up!

Watch Two Inattentive Russian Drivers Get Themselves in a Mess

No matter how many times you view the two following incidents recorded on dash-cams in Russia, you won't be able to justify the actions of the two drivers, who simply put, weren't paying any attention on the road and ended up crashing their rides.

In the first clip, a distracted young lady in a pre-facelift Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe veered to the right side of the road and smashed her car into...a pole, fortunately, without sustaining any injuries.

The Honda driver in the second video suffered from the same state of mind, but his inattentiveness also caused damage to another car waiting in traffic.

See both incidents in the videos below.

Peugeot Smashes Into Road Construction Block, 6th Accident to Happen on this Site in Past Month

Even if the following video doesn't provide us with a detailed look at the accident scene, the fact that, according to Russian media, this is the sixth crash to have taken place on this particular road construction zone on the 74km of the Moscow Ring Road in the past month alone, tells us that there's something terribly wrong with the way it is set up.

The five previous crashes resulted in the death of three people with four more sustaining injuries when the vehicles they were travelling in smashed into the roadblocks.

In the case of the forceful Peugeot accident captured on a dash-cam video from a following car, the 42-year-old driver of the Peugeot van, Ivan Kalioglo, was injured and transferred to the hospital.

Needless to say, Russian authorities should have already taken measures to make the construction zone safe for drivers and workers alike.

The Moment You Know You're Going to Crash and Can't Do Anything About it

See the driver's facial expression in the opening snapshot (you can call it a dash-cam selfie too) taken from the 11 second mark in the video? That's the universally known and understood human expression for "oh shit, we're screwed now and there's nothing I can do about it".

Quite possibly filmed in Russia (there's no mention of the location in the posting), the driver of the car fitted with twin-dash cams, one facing the road and the other towards the passenger compartment, was confronted with a big moose jumping out of the forest and entering the asphalt.

We don't know what happened to the large animal, but the humans in the car reportedly made it out alive and well.

Slippery Rough Times for Russian Pedestrians at 30 Below Zero

When the ice and snow hit the proverbial fan in some northern regions, there's not much one can do other than to stay inside and avoid going out as humanly possible. Otherwise, you'll get scenes like the ones featured in this video.

Residents of Norilsk, an industrial city in Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia, have to deal with frozen conditions on an everyday basis during the winter, with temperatures set to drop to as low as -40 Celsius or -40 Fahrenheit this week – on Monday, it was around -30 Celsius or -26 Fahrenheit.

Those who can afford to stay in, like this carefree couple who filmed a few minutes of pedestrian oopsies on the ice-cold and snow-ridden sidewalks and roads across their house, can actually have a laugh about it at the expense of their fellow citizens…

Russian Mayhem When Pissed Off Drug Lord Crashes and Shoots Porsche Cayenne Driver

We know it's a cliché when they say real-life trumps movies, but this time it's true and it happened in Russia when, for unknown reasons, a previously convicted drug gangster attacked a man in a Porsche Cayenne.

The incident occurred in the city of Chelyabinsk on December 14 and was partially recorded on the dash-cam of the victim in the Porsche.

In the video, we see the unnamed driver of the Cayenne trying to run away from 47-year-old Stanislav Smelova who was riding a gunmetal grey-colored SUV. Smelova not only crashed the Porsche, but also fired his gun repeatedly at the driver wounding him and in the end, he smashed the Porsche's windscreen.

Luckily, the victim survived, but if a report from Russian news agency URA is true, then lawlessness will take a new meaning as Smelova could actually end up off the hook, and we quote a Google Translation of the report:

"And now attention! "Bully" S.V.Smelov may qualify for an amnesty on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Constitution. Previous convictions may be redeemed, if not previously freed on parole, then entitled to pardon, for the most, "hooligan" Article 213 of the Criminal Code. And then Tyutyunnikov can safely re-shoot a rifle safely on the streets."

Imagine That: Russian Points Out Egypt's Chaotic Roads

We'll leave it to you to decide if it's refreshing or amusing that a Russian YouTube user (nicknamed Senmuth Av) has uploaded a video that highlights all the wrongs in another country and continent.

Still, and while we cannot be entirely sure whether he filmed it or simply…borrowed it (his picture suggests the former), he had does have a point that driving around in Egypt can be a truly hectic, chaotic and nerve-wrecking experience with vehicles of all sorts appearing from nowhere and going on all sides of the road.

The author also commented in the video's description box the following, which has been translated with the help of Google (so don't blame us for the thing that don't make sense…).

[Google Translation]

"There's almost a complete lack of traffic signals, traffic controllers, pedestrian crossings, prohibition signs. At the same time, a lot of lying cops let some cars with low ground clearance constantly koryabayut currently bottom.

Overall, it seems that the motion is chaotic. Pedestrians walk on the road where they want, and the drivers do not miss them. More precisely, they never miss other drivers, and are in a hurry to drive themselves, without cursing like ours, but always BIBIK.

Many cars have numerous dents and scratches. Once grappled mirrors: we drove corrected her mirror, the other carrier - its, Thu shouted to each other, and we drove on. Imagine what would we have? Gibddeshnikov wait for hours .. then draw ... If jam band, the plug can be circled in the opposite lane without problems. And simply can ride along the side of the oncoming lane."
